Das Gebäude wurde liebevoll renoviert und man staunt und staunt über die Schönheit dieser schlichten Architektur.
 This historic jewel from the 14th century. (1342) is definitely worth a visit and can be hiked as part of the circular walk no. 05 (cultural hiking trail St. Leonhard b.Freistadt).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Der Zehentkasten, diese wunderbar renovierte und sehenswerte Gebäude, wurde im Jahr 1342 durch die Pfarre St. Leonhard bei Freistadt errichtet.
Die Bauern mussten im Zehentstöckl die Zehentabgabe leisten. Der Begriff Zehent bezeichnet die etwa zehnprozentige traditionelle Steuer in Form von Geld oder Naturalien an religiöse sowie an weltliche Institutionen.
The Zehentkasten, this wonderfully renovated and remarkable building, was built in 1342 by the parish of St. Leonhard near Freistadt.
The farmers had to pay the tithes in the Zehentstöckl. The term tithe describes the approximately ten percent traditional tax in the form of money or in kind paid to religious and secular institutions.
