Yes it's interesting enough, tiny museum, with some small ruins, the rest is just photos or write ups, large portion of which is only in German. After paying a whopping €7.00 that's just plain annoying. I expected more than an intro foyer, a kiddy playing area and not much to see second floor room. Personally, unless you are as obsessed by Ancient Rome as I am, or a scholar that wants to specifically see those small ruins, I would skip it as it's not even worth €2. Disappointing to say the least.

Small but lovely, the archeology section sure makes up for it's petit size

There is not that much to see here, but if you are interested in the ancient history of Vienna (for example you have moved here), then it is a must. It us very well organized and beautiful. The guide was however telling some stories that were definitely Viennese in their hyperbole though. Entertaining but not all factual.

Loved it. Very nice gallery with artefacts and explanations. In the basement, remains of original roman foundations and walls with heating systems... Very educational.

Roman period in the history of Vienna is shown here in modern, easy-to-understand way. Children can play with replicas or miniature models and there are many excellent digital reconstructions. It is interesting to the scholars, too. Warmly recommend it.

We had a booked time for a guided tour. The tour was interesting and informative, and the guide did a great job keeping the elementary school kids attention. Small museum, but interesting and interactive.

The Römermuseum is part of the Wien Museum and it offers a chance to discover how life in ancient Vienna (Vindobona) was like. The exhibition is interactive and user friendly, combining the classic display of objects with videos and 3D reconstructions of the ancient city. Furthermore, the underground section hosts very interesting and well preserved roman archaeological remains.
