It's a place for changing from the bus to the subway to the train to the taxi cab to the bus.
It's a place to grab a bite of junk food while waiting; or to grab a bunch of flowers on your way to visiting your aged aunt who lives in the "Karl Marx" housing project across the street.
It's a place you use and traverse but never would come to on purpose. It is dirty and ugly and efficient.
This place is the city.
