★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited this hut on behalf of a hike in this area. Until then, all of my experiences with such huts have been very positive. But this time I habe been disappointed. The hut is nice, but also quite old. It seems, that there have been no renovations since a long time. But I can life with that. Then we ordered food and drinks, in my case, I ordered "Gemüse-Curry-Suppe" (vegetables-curry-soup) and "Linsensuppe ohne Speck" (lentils without bacon but with dumpling). What can I say, first of all the orders were confused, but we noticed and could avoid disappointment. The soup was just like water and curry powder, of course this is exaggerated, but not far from truth. The main course was okayish, but very boring. I would suggest to really improve the quality of service and food. Cause many people go hiking in this area, they go to this hut and want to have satisfying food as kind of gratification.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hut is placed on top of the beautiful Wechsel massif. Unfortunately, the hut itself does not match the beauty of the place. The standard is rather low. What is acceptable in the higher parts of the Alps (lack of electric outlets, showers etc.) seems weird in the mountain hut openly accessible by cars. Main problem is the staff, which is rather rude. I had something stolen from me - probably by accident - in the hut. I'm quite sure that one or two phone calls could solve the problem. The staff seemed not to be interested at all.
