★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Last sundays, when i am writing this the post corona first wave has just past and everyone is recovering from those lockdown period, the Alm had just opened (2nd WE).
A group of locals joined here ... and had their lunch at noon. Invited to join the group, i must say that all of them loved the food (juicy crispy fresh maid beef burgers, toast Wagstatt, the "pommes" (Rachels crispy but tastfull dippers) ... not one of them complained. Nice portions, good serving, huge view in the Sun on the Jochberg, Pass Turn and Saalbach/Hinterglenn massive.
Calme and nice place, which was completely re-furbished.
Nice place for groups.
The parkplace is 20 min walking, throug the old pine tree woods. Followed by a nice lake ... and maybe the Jochberg Gondola gets open this summer.
Great hikes towards Blaue Lacke or Kleine Rettenstein. And sure George has something for you to do or advice as an activity.
Ps in the winter ... ideal for a stop for food made with love and just that extra Kiwi touch.
