★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I, along with a couple of Austrian friends, made an emergency stop here as our 1.5year old baby had just vomited all over herself in the car and we were hoping to use a bathroom to change her in. We had been prepared to eat or drink at the restaurant, the first priority was getting our baby out of the cold. My husband brought the baby into the restaurant and asked politely to use the bathroom but the owner used harsh words in German to him and rudely waved him away. We left and changed the baby in the car. Our Austrian friends and I went in again to ask the owners why they couldn’t have extended some basic care and compassion and were chased out of the restaurant, being threatened that they would sue us and shouting to me and my husband (Australian and French respectively) that “this is Austria”. I captured this on video and told them that I would be sharing this episode online so that others could make up their minds about the restaurant/guesthouse. Ironically I see that they like to boast that they are “good for children”.

Not large, a small but FRESH menu and a cook who hates microwaves and convenience products. What more can you ask for?
