It was a privilege to visit this museum dedicated to the father of logotherapy.

The neurologist and psychiatrist Viktor Frankl, founder of the "Third Viennese School of Psychotherapy", lived at Mariannengasse 1 until his death in 1997, where he completed his theories of man as a spiritually gifted being who is able to defy all adversities as soon as and as long as he finds meaning in life. Today, this place of Frankl's work is an inspiring museum where visitors are introduced step by step to the high art of healing the soul, thereby learning more about their own opportunities and potentials than just about the career of a genius.

Very good museum for those who are interested in Victor's Frankl work. Although it is small, the information is dense with variety of supports and lots of videos available. It's very inspiring to read all of this. We should think much more about meaning, freedom and responsibility, human being behavior. Thanks for that great work.

Very small and rather disappointing museum, which, in fact, is only one room. If you thought, Vienna couldn't beat it's Freud museum in importance and size, you were wrong.

Victor Frankl was a medical doctor psychiatrist who integrated his experiences into a positive transformation of human consciousness. He had undergone the toughest of tests and tragedies in life but he encountered it in a very positive way to transform himself and others from which Logotherapy, a psychological tool he perfectly crafted. It is the meaningfulness of life that Victor emphasized and this catapults a guman person from the dungeon of depression and self destruction.

A museum is dedicated to the world-famous founder of logotherapy and existential analysis, Viktor E. Frankl, in the 9th district. The world's first Viktor Frankl Museum in Vienna is small but mighty. The famous Viennese doctor and philosopher himself lived in the same house that now accommodates the museum from the end of the Second World War until his death in 1997. The museum was opened in March 2015, when the Holocaust survivor Viktor E. Frankl would have turned 110 years old. Visitors can go on a search for clues through the life, work and creativity of the founder of logotherapy. There is an active debate with personal sensory and existential questions (e.g. "Guilty - what next?" or "True love?"), which is answered with Frankl's theses and talks. This opens up a personal way for the visitors to find a sense of purpose. The interactive stops consists of turn boards, audio and video excerpts as well as boxes behind which questions and answers are located. The exhibition is arranged in English/German. The guided tours are given by people trained in logotherapy and are only available outside opening hours.

Excellent museum. Very informative. Friendly staff. All descriptions are in English. Media info was good too. The museum allows one to have a good overview of what Dr Frankl is like as a person, his theories and teachings and provided good case studies / examples which laymen can understand. The museum is right next to where Dr Frankl used to live, and the setup and explanations were directed by Dr Frankl’s family. So I believe everything stays true to Dr Frankl’s spirit. You can €2 off entance fee with the Club Wien card.

I was brought there by friends and ended up in a flat that was restructured to honor VIKTOR FRANK. Only by exiting I realized I spent the past hours in Mr. Frank's former flat.. I never heard of him before but I am very intrigued in all his teachings, his view on life and how he managed to overcome all his problems, his fears and especially always himself. I could only pass 2 of 5 rooms and am willing to get back there.. IF you have a really bad time, miss perspective and opportunities, I dearly recommend this exhibition, since his teachings might sooth your mind, and soul.
