★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful and so much history behind it.
Above Old Town Graz rises the Schlossberg. This 473-meter-tall hill can be ascended by a funicular railway that takes just three minutes to get to the top. Alternatively, it can be reached by a pleasant 20-minute walk.
Highlights include the superb 28-meter-tall Clock Tower (Uhrturm), the city's best-known landmark. Built in 1561, it's all that's left of the massive fortifications that once stood here and which were dismantled after the Treaty of Vienna in 1809.
Several other attractions are here as well. These include the 94-meter-deep Turkish Well (Türkenbrunnen) and the 35-meter-tall Belfry (Glockenturm) from 1588 with its eight-ton bell affectionately known as Liesl.
The café offers superb views over Graz, and there's an open-air theater. Traveling with kids? They'll love the miniature railroa

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very cool landmark, it also provides amazing panoramic view of the town, a must see!
I recommend walking up as both sides of the hill and paths/stairs that lead to the top are very nice scenic walks :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Symbol of Graz, can not be missed! Suggestion: take the bahn / funicular up, but instead of using the lift / bahn to come down, take the slide which starts below the turm! It's more than 300 m long, a lot of fun and only costs 5 euros ;)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Iconic, must-see!
If you google Graz, this is basically the first a few pictures you will see! In a way it represents Graz! I loved it so much that I came up twice within the same day (also took the slide down which was so much fun)!
And no doubt that you get the best view of the old town. Classic!
Also, don't miss the Schlossberg Museum just a few meters away (see my reviews there, definitely worth it!)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the top destinations to see in Graz. A refreshing, relaxing walk to the top of the hill, you can take the stairs or go through a tunnel (depending on which direction you come from) and then when you reach the top there are cafes and an awesome view over the city. There are also some picture boards that show where the important buildings/attractions in the city are. Must see.
