Aber Achtung: Bei Nässe sind die Wege sehr gatschig - besser für die Heimfahrt mit dem Auto Schuhe zum Wechseln mitnehmen! Waldarbeiten in diesem Gebiet tragen auch nicht gerade zur Verbesserung der Wege bei ... (Stand: Februar 2020) A nice destination for the little hike. But be careful: the paths are very slippery when wet - it is better to take change shoes with you when you drive home! Forest work in this area does not exactly help to improve the paths ... (as of February 2020)

Aber die 1991 eröffnete neue Troppbergwarte ermöglicht einen wunderbaren Blick von Wien bis zum Ötscher, von Schneeberg bis tief ins Weinviertel. Für Personen mit Höhenangst verlangt die neue Warte vermutlich etwas Überwindung The old control room has a steep staircase and unfortunately no view because the trees are significantly higher. But the new Troppbergwarte, opened in 1991, allows a wonderful view from Vienna to Ötscher, from Schneeberg to deep into the Weinviertel. C	Chris on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ein sehr schönes Ausflugsziel mit einem wunderschönen Weitblick. Unser Ausgangspunkt war Gablitz, von dort wandert man zwar stetig aber gemütlich bis zur Wate hinauf. A very nice destination with a wonderful view. Our starting point was Gablitz, from there you hike steadily but comfortably up to the Wate.

Das hinaufgehen, ist nur was für hart gesottene: durchsichtige Stahlkonstruktion. Bei den ersten paar malen wo ich oben war omg. Sehr wachelig aber wenn man seine Angst überwindet, wird man belohnt. Tolles Ausflugsziel. The Troppbergwarte can be reached from the Höbersbachstrasse in about an hour on foot are about three kilometers to the mountain. Going up is only something hard-boiled: transparent steel construction. The first couple of times I was up there was omg. Very spiny but when you overcome your fear you will be rewarded. A	Astrid Wenzl on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Von Gablitz/Siedlung Hauersteig sind wir knapp eine Stunde raufgegangen, am Anfang befestigter Weg, der dann auf Waldwege führt, die an den steileren Stellen bei Nässe auch mal ziemlich rutschig sein können. Unbedingt festes Schuhwerk tragen und evt. Stöcke mitnehmen. Landschaftlich wunderschön, meist im Schatten, von der Warte aus hat man dann aber einen herrlichen Ausblick in alle Himmelsrichtungen. Die neue Warte ist nichts für Menschen mit Höhenangst, oben bläst der Wind kräftig und es kann leicht wackeln. Die wohlverdiente Jause (so leicht war der Aufstieg nicht, obwohl es nicht so weit ist) haben wir windgeschützt in der alten Warte zu uns genommen. Traumhafter Kurzausflug, für Kinder und Hunde geeignet. Da es sehr kalt war, waren nicht allzu viele Leute unterwegs und auch die Warte war nicht überlaufen. Since it was very cold, there weren't too many people around and the waiting room wasn't overcrowded either.

Am Troppberg oben sind uralte Keltische und Römerwege. Von Gipfel zu Gipfel seit Urzeiten. Es ist eine glückliche machende, bereichernde Wanderung mit beeindruckenden Bildern der Naturlandschaft. Wir haben es genossen. Und empfehlen es allen anderen wärmstens. Unanstrengende Wege und Forststrassen. From the Riederberg a wonderful, comfortable, pleasant forest path. Magnificent typical Vienna Woods. Mixed forest. The most beautiful nature that you can imagine. At the top of the Troppberg there are ancient Celtic and Roman paths. From peak to peak since time immemorial. It is a happy making, enriching hike with impressive pictures of the natural landscape. We enjoyed it. And warmly recommend it to everyone else. Easy paths and forest roads.
