★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been a fan of Thalia stores in Vienna for the 3 years I've lived here and I have to say this is my least favorite location. Not only are the staff a bit rude (several people), but I felt the shop was a bit disorganized and the layout somewhat disheveled. There was a part of the games section completely empty with only a few items, it seemed almost like a warehouse - I was not sure what was going on over there. Was there some reorganizing going on? Maybe blocking off that section would be a good idea? It looked a bit unprofessional in my opinion. Or if not, perhaps utilizing that space to make your games section appear less cluttered?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am alwayx impressed by Thalia Wein stores. It fascinates me to see how many customers treat the store as their local library.
Besides an impressive selection - covering anything from old classics to the most modern, and sometimes advant garde authors - the store strives to be a beacon to all.
I purchased an array of gifts and cards for friends & family. I was also drawn to a display featuring vintage reproductions of certain Disney characters. As nice a gift I felt they were the prices floored me. My guess it was €1 for the product and €9 for the item, plus if course, GST. Don't forget friends: if you live outside the EU and are flying 'directly' home, you may submit your receipts for rebate!
Lovely store and worth going in!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This company supports discrimination based on people’s medical choices. Dear Thalia, remember, you need us to survive economically, but we dont necessarily need you, we have other choices… I was supporting local bookstores during the whole pandemic, but from now on only Amazon !

Also sells art supplies and has a separate boardgame section .
You can order books and get them delivered to the store rather quickly, often within a day or two. Also offers pick up after opening hours from a pickup station.
Some comfy seats to read into the books are provided as well, love checking out books with my daughter. Always appreciate if book stores do this.
Large enough to stay anonymous but enough employees to always get good advice and help if needed.
