Best Ski school in austria

A	Anna Reimer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Am ersten Tag hat mein Sohn (10 Jahre) eine Privatstunde bekommen und da hat er viel gelernt. Das war Top. Am nächsten Tag wurde er in eine (schon bestehende) Gruppe mit 5-6 jährigen gesteckt. Das war furchtbar. Samstags werden Gruppen für den Kurs gebildet. Nach 1 Stunde Wartezeit durfte unser Kind 1x die Piste runterfahren um zu schauen wie weit er ist. Nachdem mein Sohn durchgefroren war, haben wir die Skischule abgebrochen da er wieder in eine Anfänger Gruppe (5-6 jährige) gesteckt werden sollte. Die Skilehrer sind mit Sicherheit super aber die Organisation ist nicht vorhanden. Sehr Schade da es der erste Skiurlaub meines Sohnes war. On the first day my son (10 years) got a private lesson and he learned a lot there. That was great. The next day he was put into an (already existing) group of 5-6 year olds. It was horrible. Groups are formed for the course on Saturdays. After a waiting time of 1 hour, our child was allowed to go down the slopes once to see how far he was. After my son was frozen, we canceled the ski school because he should be put back into a beginner group (5-6 year olds). The ski instructors are certainly great, but the organization is not there. A shame because it was my son's first skiing holiday.

Hatten unseren 5 Jahre alten Sohn im Anfängerkurs und er konnte nach 4 Tagen bereits die erste kleine Piste fahren... Very nice staff! Top care for children! Had our 5 year old son in the beginner's course and he was able to take the first small runway after 4 days ...

Vielen Dank für den Skischulleiter und die super Lehrerin Valy. Top ski school with motivated teachers. My daughter (6 years old) learned to ski within 4.5 days. Many thanks for the ski school manager and the great teacher Valy.
D	Do Zo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ich hatte 2 Stunden Privatstunde gebucht, um meine Skitechnik nach langer Pause zu verbessern. Der Skilehrer war sehr nett, hat mir aber so gut wie keinerlei Rückmeldung während der 2 Stunden gegeben. Er hat mir gesagt, dass ich ja schon gut fahre und es nur noch Feinheiten zu verbessern gäbe. Nun ja, deshalb habe ich ja Skiunterricht genommen. Ich fahre sicher und gut, aber bei Weitem nicht so gut, dass es nichts mehr zu verbessern gibt. Der Skilehrer ist in Bögen vor mir her gefahren wie bei einem Anfänger. Wirklich eine Riesenenttäuschung! Und viel zu teuer, für das, was man bekommt! Für bessere Fahrer als Anfänger nicht geeignet, da zumindest dieser Skilehrer keine gute Ausbildung hatte. I booked 2 hours private lesson to improve my skiing technique after long break. The ski instructor was very nice, but gave me almost no feedback during the 2 hours. He told me that I was already driving well and that there were only minor things that could be improved. Well, that's why I took ski lessons. I drive safe and well, but not nearly so well that there is nothing left to improve. The ski instructor circled in front of me like a beginner. Really a huge disappointment! And way overpriced for what you get! Not suitable for better skiers than beginners, as at least this ski instructor did not have a good education.

A	Andy Holding on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My children have been to ski school here on several return visits to Rauris, and their skiing has significantly improved each time. At Karl Maier skischule they make it fun to ski and they have children’s and adult’s ski races at the end of the week with a certificate & medal ceremony which is good humoured and fun for all. The ski school is very reasonably priced in Rauris and the hire equipment is first class. The staff are very professional and friendly and they like to have fun, especially Conrad who taught my son to be an excellent & elegant skier. Harry will help your skiing needs and he’s has a great source of information about the local area of Rauris. The ski shop is nice and tidy, and as you would expect well equipped. Staff within the shop are very professional and helpful. I have personally hired ski’s, poles and boots from here and the boots were very comfortable with newly maintained skis and decent poles. The shop and ski school meeting place is right next to the 947m ticket office, gondola, beginners ski slope & kindergarten ski area. I’d highly recommend this ski school and hire shop as I personally believe it’s the best one in Rauris.
