Geburtstags des Wiener Bürgermeisters Karl Lueger enthüllt. Im Bereich des ehemaligen Siebenbrunnenfeldes nannte man Gassen um auf Siebenbrunnenfeldgasse, Siebenbrunnengasse und eben den Siebenbrunnenplatz. 1999 wurde der Siebenbrunnenplatz zur Fußgängerzone erklärt. Da Karl Lueger und seine Gedenkstätten und Denkmäler in letzter Zeit sehr stark kritisiert werden, verlangen viele Wiener Änderungen beziehungsweise - wo es möglich ist - eine Umbenennungen, Korrekturen oder Eliminierung von Erinnerungsstätten an Karl Lueger. Beim Siebenbrunnen wird es wohl die Widmung "Errichtet anlässlich der Vollendung des 60. Lebensjahres des verdienstvollen Bürgermeisters Dr. Karl Lueger“ sein. The Siebenbrunnen was unveiled in 1904 to commemorate the Hofwasserleitung from 1562, the incorporation of the former suburbs into the 5th district and on the occasion of the 60th birthday of the Viennese mayor Karl Lueger. In the area of the former Siebenbrunnenfeld, streets were renamed to Siebenbrunnenfeldgasse, Siebenbrunnengasse and Siebenbrunnenplatz. In 1999 Siebenbrunnenplatz was declared a pedestrian zone. Since Karl Lueger and his memorials and monuments have recently been heavily criticized, many Viennese changes or - where possible - a renaming, correction or elimination of memorials to Karl Lueger. At the Siebenbrunnen it will probably be the dedication "Erected on the occasion of the 60th birthday of the deserving Mayor Dr. Karl Lueger".

There are people almost all over day and night. Center point of the nearby neighbourhood and one of the main spots of Margareten district.
