★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Difficult to access parking (access is from inside the tunnel) with space for only 5-10 cars, for free. There is a "window" though this parking spot inside the tunnel to click pictures of the town below.

And the view is just stunning!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You have 90 minutes parking for free, we found easily a place on the first floor (when leaving the city of Hallstatt). The main square and classic view point is about a 5-10 minute walk maximum, you just have to walk down some stairs and already in the city centre. The view is better from the second floor.
