It is exactly as on the photos. A great and beautiful location for every book lover. They hold from old to new books beautifully placed on the shelves. The location is quite old but in perfekt shape and really beautiful. I am sure we will show the place to all our friends that visit Vienna. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A wonderful cute shop full of English literature. However, be warned that the prices are not always in euro and the shopkeepers feel free to quote absurdly high prices (for example a 8 pound book being quoted as over 14 euro). If you’re in the mood to quietly peruse unaided to find your English novel (and pay whatever price for it) this is their perfect place! Large selection, organized by genre and many authors. If you’re looking for aid, assistance choosing, helpful staff,or reasonable prices you may want to find a different shop that caters English books.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The BEST English bookshop in Vienna! Went there on a Monday afternoon. The lady in the shop was so friendly and helpful. The price range is reasonable as well. I bought a Dickens' book just for 3 euro. If you are a book lover you have to pay a visit to this lovely store!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First off the books are ordered in such a fashion that it is impossible to go into it and find one you are looking for except for the off chance your eye catches it. The books are just scattered, not in any order my author name at all, and some of the stacks are so high you can’t even bother to see them. The man behind the counter provided no help either, I asked him for where classic fiction is and he just pointed at a full wall with about 18 shelves. Secondly the books are very overpriced, a simple paperback will set you back over €20.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shakespeare & Company is the most magic English language bookshop in Vienna. Tiny, fantastic, intelligent, helpful, you can find any book you are looking for and discover many others you had no idea they existed. As they like Harry Potter, they are vocal in disliking Lord Voldemort and his friends. Lovely place!
