Worst customer service EVER. The restaurant was crowded when we go and since we were not greeted by any of the staff we decided to look for a table to sit ourselves. All the tables outdoor were fully seated but soon we found a table of customers are leaving, and there's this waiter cleaning the table, I walked up to him and ask I can sit at this table and he answered "sure" and just walked away bringing some of the dirty dishes away. We waited for a while for him to return and continue cleaning up the table, but then we saw him started collecting bill from other customers right after that, and our table is only halfway being cleaned. At first I was just waiting patiently as I understand that the restaurant was quite busy that he has other customers to serve, and then we decided to have a sit first while waiting for him. This is when the story happens. First of all he didnt even bother to bring us the menu, and he has been passing by our table a lot of times serving other customers, there was once when he passes by and I tried to ask him politely of he can clean the table for us, and he just replied a HAH! and walked pass our table. What really triggered me was when he started to clean the table behind us after the customers have left, and there was no new customer coming in. At first I thought the restaurant is about to close ( it's around 8:20 and it closes at 9pm) so they no longer taking in new customer. So I turned back and ask him if the restaurant is closed? He said no, with his irritating smiley face. I then ask ' then could you please clean the table for us so that I can start ordering?" And he just replied well because you sit at the table that i am not done cleaning. OH! So we are being ignored by him in purpose just because we sit at the table that he was halfway cleaning?! We maybe wrong about our action but it's our first time here and if he thinks that we ever did anything that offended him he should at least tell us but not by ignoring us the whole time, by not giving us the menus and not cleaning the table for us! We didnt just walk in and sit there, in fact I have asked him if we can sit there, if he doesn't like what we did, he could just inform us to wait until he finish cleaning up the table to sit or whatsoever. As mentioned before the restaurant is busy so we thought it's better to have a sit first as we will be blocking other people's way if we stand beside the table. In the end we got so angry and decided not to have dinner there. What a shame to have a restaurant with nice view but with horrible staff. It that how u treat your customers? I work part-time alone in a small but busy restaurant as well but I dont treat my customers like that! During peak hour there are customers that would come in and sit at the dirty table waiting for me to clean while I was serving other customers. I never ignore them like what he did to us! I never knew that you deserved to get ignored by the waiter by doing so!! I would give 0 stars for this irritating attitude if I could ever do that.

Firstly this restaurant is right next to hallstat lake so naturally has one of the best view of the lake and the mountains around! My 5 star is for the food they serve and hassle free service. Such amazing food and great beer at very affordable price. A must visit. I am definitely going there again

Weird menu (fresh fish, but also Asian dishes). Had several mistakes to our order, which they later corrected. Had the smoked char (very salty and not warm), but the view is very nice.

Amazing view & decent food. It's a nicely situated beach café right by the water. The food is good (not great) - small menu with a balance of local and tourist food, just the service was a little slow - at least when we were there. Certainly worth a visit, mainly for the view, not for the service and dining delicacies.

The "Hot chocolate" wasn't hot nor had chocolate. It should have been called cold milk instead. The kitchen only opens 12:00 so I don't understand why searching for "breakfast" brings up this place. The cappuccino was also cold. There was only 2 tables occupied and we got tired of waiting and went look for the menu ourselves. The chocolate cake was dry and not worth it.

On a busy summer day when it was impossible to get a parking near Hallstatt, this place was a life saver. Great view of the nearby lake too. The food was average.

Most unfriendly staff ever. Not at all recommended. Better go to the Dormi Hotel Cafe where they have lots of ice-cream options and very friendly staff.

Staff was super unfriendly. They had only a very limited offer of cake and ice-cream. After 3 staff members ignored us we left without even got a chance to order. Not recommended at all. Better go to the reception of dormi resort nearby. They got a wide range of ice-cream and friendly staff.
