★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ursprünglich als Stadtbefestigung projektiert, aber hat als Mauttor (deswegen Schnallen-Tor genannt) gute Dienste geleistet. Jetzt ein toller Blickfang neben dem ebenfalls sehenswerten Friedhof gelegen.
Originally designed as a city fortification, but has served well as a toll gate (therefore called Buckle Gate). Now a great eye catcher next to the well worth seeing cemetery.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Das Schnallentor ist ein wunderschönes Stück Baugeschichte aus dem 16. Jahrhundert und bildet die Einfahrt bzw. das Tor zur Steyrer Altstadt (Steyrdorf, Wieserfeldplatz, Altstadt). Vom Spielplatz aus hat man zudem einen wunderschönen Ausblick auf Steyr. Cooles Detail am Rande: Im Schnallentor gibt es immer noch eine Wohnung, toller Ausblick auf die Stadt inklusive.
The Schnallentor is a beautiful piece of building history from the 16th century and forms the entrance or the gate to the old town of Steyr (Steyrdorf, Wieserfeldplatz, old town). From the playground you also have a wonderful view of Steyr. Cool detail on the edge: There is still an apartment in the buckle gate, including a great view of the city.
