F	Ferdinand on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Der Grillabend, der für die Hotelgäste jeden Donnerstag gemacht wird, war, nicht zuletzt wegen der vorzüglichen Bewirtung des Gastgebers und Concierge Ernst Bauer ein echtes Erlebnis. Zwei frisch gegrillte Gänge mit mehreren Fleischsorten auf den Punkt Geheilt und dazu österreichische Geschichte. Die Zimmer sind sauber und geräumig. Es war ein sehr gelungener Abend und auch Moosburg ist ein toller Ort. The barbecue evening, which is made every Thursday for hotel guests, was a real experience, not least because of the excellent hospitality provided by the host and concierge Ernst Bauer. Two freshly grilled courses with several types of meat to the point Healed and also Austrian history. The rooms are clean and spacious. It was a very successful evening and Moosburg is also a great place.

Die Rezeption vor Ort ist nicht dauerhaft besetzt, telefonisch erreicht man aber schnell und einfach den sehr freundlichen Verwalter. Nachts ruhig, diverse optionale Zusatzleistungen, ein leckeres Frühstück und ein 1A Badeteich in Wurfweite haben uns absolut überzeugt. In etwa 15 Min Autofahrt erreicht man den Stadtrand Klagenfurts für Besichtigungen aller Art. We spent a week at the Hotel Schloss Moosburg and loved it! The on-site reception is not permanently manned, but the very friendly manager can be reached quickly and easily by phone. Quiet at night, various optional additional services, a delicious breakfast and a top swimming pond within throwing distance have absolutely convinced us. In about 15 minutes by car you can reach the outskirts of Klagenfurt for all kinds of sightseeing.

Man bekommt nicht wirklich das, was man erwartet, aber sehr viel mehr, als man sich vorstellen kann. Ich habe noch nie zuvor in einem so authentischen Hotel übernachtet. Es ist ein Schloß oder Burg, es ist historisch und das macht den großen Unterschied. Wer Geschichte leben will, der ist hier sehr richtig. Hinzu kommt die besondere Lage, die nur ganz wenige Hotels in solcher Konsequenz zu bieten haben. Auf einem Hügel mit 360 Grad Blick, kleinen Seen, Wiesen und ein herrschaftlicher Wald, das sind die "Rahmenbedingungen". Der nahe Wörthersee entbehrt jeder Erklärung. Er ist der See in Österreich. Die Zimmer sind groß, sauber und bescheiden. Die Etagen-Bereiche voller Bücher, Gemälde und Antiquitäten. Das Schlosshotel ist ein sehr romantischer Ort – alle, die das mögen, finden nur wenig Vergleichbares. Die Menschen um Herrn Bauer machen den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm. Das Frühstücksteam ganz besonders. Verpassen Sie nicht die Schlossführung mit Herrn Bauer und den Grillabend. Wir waren sehr glücklich im Schlosshotel und unser sehr junger Hund liebte die Wiesen, Wälder und Teiche. Wir können uns sehr gut vorstellen, wieder zu kommen. Much more than expected. It's strange, the one about the Schlosshotel Moosburg. You don't really get what you expect, but you get a lot more than you can imagine. I have never stayed in such an authentic hotel before. It's a palace or a castle, it's historical and that makes all the difference. If you want to live history, this is the place for you. In addition, there is the special location that very few hotels have to offer in such a consistent manner. On a hill with a 360 degree view, small lakes, meadows and a stately forest, these are the "framework conditions". The nearby Wörthersee has no explanation. He is the lake in Austria. The rooms are large, clean and modest. The floors areas full of books, paintings and antiques. The Schlosshotel is a very romantic place - those who like it will find little comparable. The people around Mr. Bauer make the stay very pleasant. The breakfast team especially. Do not miss the castle tour with Mr. Bauer and the barbecue evening. We were very happy in the castle hotel and our very young dog loved the meadows, forests and ponds. We can very well imagine coming back.

The opportunity to stay in a sixteenth-century castle should not be missed. The ambiance is authentic and the overall experience excellent. We plan to return one day soon.

Stunning setting ,gorgeous interior well appointed rooms .When all the staff have gone home and you have your very own castle to yourselves ....it's just magical.. Cons Breakfast very good but maybe not as comprehensive as some hotels .No restaurant so no evening meals at the moment.( I believe this may change soon). When your sitting outside in the grounds of an evening with a bottle of wine and your picnic evening meal overlooking the beautiful scenery I have to say it all makes sense!!!
