Per molti anni conteso tra i potenti Signori di Goldegg e l'Arcivescovo di Salisburgo, è stato per lungo tempo la sede dei funzionari delle miniere. Si racconta che sorga su di un luogo "di potere", di forte energia. Caduto in rovina già dal XVIII secolo, era divenuto una cava di pietra. È stato ricostruito circa 50 anni fa, del castello originale, rimane poco. Le 4 stelle, le ho date per premiare l'attuale proprietà, che lo tiene aperto tutto l'anno e che, nel suo interno, oltre ad un museo nella torre, gestisce una piacevole taverna a tema medievale ed organizza simpatici eventi ( caccia al tesoro, fantasmi...). Its origins date back to the thirteenth century, perhaps on an older construction. For many years disputed between the powerful Lords of Goldegg and the Archbishop of Salzburg, it was for a long time the seat of the mine officials. It is said that it rises on a place "of power", of strong energy. Fallen into disrepair as early as the eighteenth century, it had become a stone quarry. It was rebuilt about 50 years ago, of the original castle, little remains. I gave the 4 stars to reward the current property, which keeps it open all year round and which, inside, as well as a museum in the tower, manages a pleasant medieval-themed tavern and organizes nice events (hunting honey, ghosts ...).

T	Török Andrea on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ if you want to visit a castle without crowd: this is the place to be. they have tours ( english and austrian german during weekdays/austrian german during weekends). Burg Klammstein is in private hands and you get a different guide as in the other castles. worth going there. kind hosts!
