★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Etwa 150 Meter den Forstweg in Richtung Heiligenkreuz entlang steht das "Schächerkreuz", ein großes Kruzifix in einem kapellenartigen Bau. Die Geschichte zu dieser Sehenswürdigkeit ist abenteuerlich: Vor langer Zeit nämlich soll dort eine Gruppe ungarischer Zigeuner gelagert haben. Bei einem Streit soll ein Mann erstochen und kurzerhand an Ort und Stelle begraben worden sein. Kurze Zeit später, so sagt die Geschichte, hat ein Zigeuner das Holzkreuz auf dem Grab aufgestellt.
Das ursprüngliche Barockkreuz wurde 1953 von unbekannten Tätern des Nachts aus der Kapelle gerissen, der Korpus mit einer Hacke schwer beschädigt und über den Wiesenabhang geworfen. Bei den Erhebungen durch die Gendarmerie konnte ein Polizeihund die Spur des Täters bis zum Sägewerk verfolgen. Der oder die Täter konnten aber leider nie ausgeforscht werden. Nach der Restaurierung wurde dieses Kreuz im Arkadengang des Priorhofes im Stift angebracht. Die Kapelle stand dann bis 1961 leer. 1961 wurde ein anderes altes barockes Holzkreuz aus dem Stift in der Kapelle angebracht und am 16. September 1961 durch Abt
Karl Braunstorfer nach einer Lichterprozession der Pfarre geweiht.
 About 150 meters along the forest path towards Heiligenkreuz is the "Schächerkreuz", a large crucifix in a chapel-like building. The story of this sight is adventurous: a long time ago a group of Hungarian gypsies is said to have camped there. In a fight, a man is said to have been stabbed to death and unceremoniously buried on the spot. A short time later, so the story goes, a gypsy placed the wooden cross on the grave.
The original Baroque cross was torn from the chapel by unknown perpetrators at night in 1953, the body was badly damaged with a pick and thrown over the slope of the meadow. During the surveys by the gendarmerie, a police dog was able to trace the perpetrator to the sawmill. Unfortunately, the perpetrator or perpetrators could never be traced. After the restoration, this cross was placed in the arcade of the Priorhof in the monastery. The chapel then stood empty until 1961. In 1961 another old baroque wooden cross from the monastery was placed in the chapel and on September 16, 1961 by Abbot
Karl Braunstorfer consecrated the parish after a candlelight procession.
