Darunter in Richtung Ortschaft zwei tiefere Etagen mit Gebäude Resten. Vieles der Burg ist über die Jahrhunderte in den darunter liegenden Wald gestürzt. Die Anlage ist nicht gesichert und relativ verwachsen. An Stellen muss man sich durch das Gestrüpp Kämpfen. Parken in der Ortschaft. 25 min zu Fuß über Forststraße die direkt hinter Burg endet. Die Ruine an sich ist nicht spektakulär, aber baugeschichtlich durchaus interessant. Die rechteckige Kernburg, die nur mehr in Mauerresten erhalten ist, stammt aus der Zeit um 1200, nördlich befinden sich die Überbleibsel eines etwas jüngeren Zwingers mit den Mauern der Burgkapelle. Die Anlage ist leider ziemlich zugewachsen und daher schwer zu begehen, trotzdem hat man von einigen Punkten schöne Ausblicke auf das Kamptal. Die Ruine ist leider nicht leicht zu finden; von Stallegg den Weg nach Etzmannsdorf nehmen, kurz nach einem Bildstock auf der linken Seite kommt man auf eine Forststraße, hier links abbiegen, 300 Meter bis zum Holzlagerplatz gehen, dann einem bergauf gehenden Karrenweg ca. 100 Meter folgen. Auch ihre strategische Bedeutung hatte sie längst verloren. Sie wurde daher nicht mehr bewohnt und verfiel. Um 1600 wurde sie bereits als Ruine bezeichnet. Vom Turm der Burg, mit seinen fast zwei Meter starken Mauern, sind zwei große mehrgeschossige Mauerteile erhalten. Man erkennt sehr schön die Außenmauern aus behauenen Quadern und das dazwischen liegende Bruchstein-Füllmauerwerk. Auch weitere Gebäude- und Mauerreste sind bei genauerer Erkundung des Geländes zu entdecken. Die stark verfallene Burgruine ist ganzjährig frei zugänglich. Der Weg ist jedoch nicht beschildert und erfordert, so wie das Burggelände selbst, festes Schuhwerk und Trittsicherheit.
