Best Campground in austria

F	Fred Flintstone on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was the first campground and highlighton on our trip. This is as close to a perfect campground as it gets. Plenty of room, lots of green, very good facilities, nice walks from the campground, an old castle to look at, quite and even dog friendly. ( which goes along with all the space) Ah and not to forget the wonderful kids soccer field. We truly loved this one. Shame we will compare to it for the rest of the trip as it sets such a high standard.
S	Simona P. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice camping with great view and walking distance to the lake (2 min walking). At the same distance there s also a restaurant with topical dishes. Is not earnings 5 stars just for the fact the there is only 1 wc/shower/washing building next to the reseption .

But above all, we got a very unpleasant and frustrating experience with the manager. He did not try to make any smile and to speak any english even very simple words (at least to us), which make us feel very unwelcome. He did not get record and believe that we paid a deposit unless we had a proof of it. He did overcharge +25% on the booking invoice, for having stayed 2 days less than a week (our child was sick) !!
O	Oscar on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed at this camping, during our journey from the Netherlands to Italy (07-2013) and to our surprise we enjoyed it here very much. The pitches are big, beautiful scenery and clean sanitary facilities. And all this, for a more than reasonable (cheap) price and including a friendly staff! We plan to return to this camping again, but then for a longer period. We can really recommend it!

Guy at the reception refuses to speak English which is sad as not everyone speaks German. Nice and clean facilities. Surrounded by nature. For campsite guests there is a nice area at the lake. We would stay there again.
B	Boukje on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you like to be treated rude in German, this is the place to go! Go meet the owner and have the most uncomfortable conversation you can imagine. He keeps barking German words and if you don't understand him, that's your problem. After this amazing experience you are allowed to pay. This is our second time here and we were hoping that last year he just had a bad day. Unfortunately it's just his attitude, reading the other reviews... The area is beautiful and as a guest of the campsite you are allowed to walk around the lake with breathtaking views. So, prepare yourself for the owner, after that you can enjoy the nice camping spots and the area.
J	Jeroen van Oers on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice and very quiet campsite, not a lot of visitors in September. Read a lot of negative comments about staff but didn’t experience this at all. The owner didn’t speak perfect English but he tried and that’s what counts. With my very limited German and his very limited English we were able to check in, order bread, check out. What else is needed? Showers and toilets were a bit old but mostly clean. The walk around te lake was nice, didn’t try the restaurant. Would visit again if ever in the area!
