 It's like coming back several hundred years in the past. A different restaurant with an incredibly nice environment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sehr gutes Essen und eine wunderschöne Lage direkt am Fernsteinsee. Gute Auswahl an verschiedenen Speisen und Getränken, sowie an netten Souvenirs und Geschenk- und Reiseartikeln. Außerdem gibt es drinnen und draußen sehr angenehme Sitzgelegenheiten.
Very good food and a beautiful location right on the Fernsteinsee. Good selection of different food and drinks, as well as nice souvenirs and gifts and travel items. There is also very pleasant seating inside and outside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ein- und Ausfahrt beim Parkplatz nicht ungefährlich, der Durchgangsverkehr nimmt kaum Rücksicht. Der Aufenthalt an der Raststation kann gemütlich sein, sofern man drinnen sitzt und nicht dem Lärm der Strasse an den äußeren Tischen lauscht. Die Preise sind eine Unverschämtheit: für 2 große Cappu, eine Sacher und einen Aprikosenstrudel 15,50 €!!! Auch im Shop nur einkaufen, wenn man unbedingt noch Geld loswerden muss! Sehr zu empfehlen aber ein Spaziergang zu den Fernstein-Seen.
Entry and exit at the parking lot not dangerous, the through traffic takes little consideration. The stay at the rest stop can be comfortable, provided you sit inside and do not listen to the noise of the street at the outer tables. The prices are an impudence: for 2 large Cappu, a Sacher and apricot strudel 15,50 € !!! Also only shop in the shop if you absolutely have to get rid of money! Highly recommended but a walk to the Fernstein lakes.

Bought five pieces of cake for take away, which were
- hugely overpriced (4.50 €) for medium sized pieces
- tasted okay, but not better than cake from the supermarket and not like you would expect for the price
- and, which was really the huge no-no, were totally different from the ones you‘re shown and get to choose at the restaurant.
Yes, you get a cheesecake, Sacher, whatever, but the ones behind the glass vitrines in the restaurant look really nice. The ones they fetch from the kitchen resemble them in the slightest.
