ABER das Essen ist absolut empfehlenswert. Der Wirt ein älterer Herr, der neben seinem Rentnerdasein, sein Hobby auslebt und dem Kochen nachgeht. ALSO für alle die kein 5-Sterne-Restaurant brauchen und es etwas urig mögen. Schaut vorbei und überzeugt euch selber. Absolute insider tip! Not nice to look at at first glance and not at the second glance either. Little choice of food. BUT the food is absolutely recommendable. The landlord is an elderly gentleman who, besides his retirement, lives out his hobby and cooks. ALSO for everyone who doesn't need a 5-star restaurant and who likes it a bit quaint. Have a look and see for yourself.
E	E. E. Schmid on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die Gaststätte lässt sich nicht mit den üblichen Maßstäben messen, sie ist sehr speziell. Dafür aber wahrscheinlich auch einmalig. Die Zeit ist dort stehengeblieben. Kommunikation mit dem Wirt hilft, zu verstehen, wie es läuft und was es heute zu essen und zu trinken gibt. Ein Stern Abzug, weil das Urige ein kleines bisschen überzogen wird und die Auswahl doch extrem begrenzt ist. The restaurant can not be measured by the usual standards, it is very special. But probably also unique. Time has stopped there. Communicating with the host helps to understand how it works and what to eat and drink today. A star deduction, because the quaint is covered a little bit and the choice is extremely limited.

Der Biergarten ist etwas lustlos mit ein paar alten Garnituren draußen zusammengestellt, innen ist es muffig und recht "besonders" eingerichtet. Zeit ist stehengeblieben, allerdings inklusive der entsprechenden Abnutzung. Als Zwischenstopp bei einer Seeumrundung vielleicht ganz gut - zur Hauptmahlzeiten nur zu empfehlen, wenn man mit mehr oder weniger einem Gericht Vorlieb nehmen kann. There are only sandwiches - or trout. The beer garden is a bit listless with a few old sets outside, inside it is musty and quite "special" furnished. Am Glas des bestellten Wassers waren noch die Spuren des Vorgängers und dafür kosteten die 0,25l 2,50€! Für 0,25l Fanta werden sogar 3,50€ fällig. Meiden empfohlen. Dilapidated restaurant with an outdoor area and questionable hygiene and cleanliness in the toilets. On the glass of the ordered water were the traces of the predecessor and the 0.25l cost 2.50 €! For 0.25l Fanta even 3.50 € are due. Avoid recommended.
A	Anne Wie on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Leider kann ich mich der vorherigen Rezension nicht anschließen, denn bei uns hatte der Wirt keine Lust für zu kochen noch hatte er Mineralwasser vorrätig. Er hat uns stattdessen eine Brotzeit angeboten, die sich qualitativ eher auf dem unterstem Supermarktniveau bewegt hat, siehe Foto. Schade denn der angrenzende Zeltplatz ist super. Unfortunately, I cannot agree with the previous review, because the landlord had no desire to cook, nor did he have mineral water in stock. Instead, he offered us a snack, the quality of which was on the lowest supermarket level, see photo. It's a shame because the adjacent campground is great.

Das Essen schmeckt super ??. Außer der Karte gab es immer ein Gericht als Überraschung. Mein geheim Tipp am Walchsee. The restaurant is run by a nice old man as a hobby. There is something to eat at lunchtime and in the evening. The restaurant is only open in summer when the weather is nice. The food tastes great ??. Besides the menu, there was always a surprise dish. My secret tip at Walchsee.
