F	Fritz R on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die gotische Kirche aus den Jahren 1404-1411 war im 19.Jahrhundert endgültig zu klein geworden. So wurde der Ruf nach einem Kirchenneubau immer lauter. Der bekannte und wohl bedeutendste Linzer Bischof Rudigier regte die Gründung eines Fonds zur Vergrößerung der Kirche an, der Dorfrichter und Heimatdichter Ignaz Donabaur gab dafür 1858 die erste Spende. Der Umbau der Kirche erfolgte in den Jahren 1890-1895. Die Pläne für den "Mühlviertler Dom" erstellte der damalige Linzer Dombaumeister Raimund Jeblinger. Die Kirche wurde seinerzeit unter großen Opfern der Pfarrbevölkerung erbaut. Der Pfarr- und Kirchenpatron ist der Hl. Apostel Andreas. Die Kirche selbst konnte 1895 eingeweiht werden, der Turm wurde aber erst 1907 fertiggestellt, die Orgel 1912 angeschafft. The Gothic church from 1404-1411 had finally become too small in the 19th century. So the call for a new church to be built became louder and louder. The well-known and probably most important Linz bishop Rudigier suggested the establishment of a fund to enlarge the church, the village judge and local poet Ignaz Donabaur made the first donation in 1858. The church was rebuilt in the years 1890-1895. The plans for the "Mühlviertel Cathedral" were drawn up by the then Linz cathedral master builder Raimund Jeblinger. The church was built at the time with great sacrifices by the parish population. The parish and church patron is St. Andrew the Apostle. The church itself was consecrated in 1895, but the tower was not completed until 1907 and the organ was purchased in 1912.
