★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The monastery is still operated by Trappist monks. The church is a splendid baroque building with a richly furnished interior. On the ceiling, frescoes by the famous Bartolomeo Altomonte are combined with a modern replacement (remarkably well echoing the hues of the old paintings) for the unsavalbe part over the nave. Don't forget to have a look at the choir stalls. - If you are a fan of beers in the Trappist style: here is an opportunity to get their typical range of beers.
