Mit dem Mountainbike wie auch zu Fuß sportlich. Gastronomie in Ordnung. The climb from the valley was long and steep. The hut is easy to reach with the ebike, but it is still strenuous. Sporty by mountain bike or on foot. Gastronomy okay.

Top The Otto Mayr Hütte is a beautifully situated hut with beautiful rooms/camps and very good Tyrolean cuisine. Very nice hosts and excellent DAV hut. Top
A	Andy Hummel on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sehr sympathische Hütte. Wirt und Service sehr freundlich. Wir haben uns wirklich gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Schade nur, dass man meistens nur eine Nacht verbringt. Wir waren im Matratzenlager, das war sehr gut gestaltet und alles kürzlich modernisiert. Das Essen und das Frühstück war ebenfalls sehr lecker und ausreichend. Very personable hut. Host and service very friendly. We felt really well looked after. It's just a shame that you usually only spend one night. We stayed in the mattress dorm, which was very well designed and everything recently modernized. The food and breakfast were also very tasty and sufficient.
M	Mike Sp on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Zu 100% zu empfehlen. Wir haben eine Mehrtages Wanderung mit dem Hund gemacht und dort geschlafen. Schlafen mit Hund war gar kein Problem. Alle waren sehr nett, hilfsbereit und unkompliziert. Wir kommen sicherlich nochmal wieder. Zu erreichen ist die Hütte nur zu Fuß aber dafür umso abgeschiedener und toll in den Bergen platziert. Der Sternenhimmel in der Nacht ist Wahnsinn. Direkt im Umkreis sind viele tolle Berge mit verschiedenen Schwierigkeitsgraden. Vom Ambiente über Essen, Duschen und Lage bis Hin zum Zimmer 5, vielen Dank ?? 100% recommended. We did a multi-day hike with the dog and slept there. Sleeping with a dog wasn't a problem at all. Everyone was very nice, helpful and uncomplicated. We will definitely come back again. The hut can only be reached on foot, but it is all the more secluded and well placed in the mountains. The starry sky at night is amazing. There are many great mountains with different levels of difficulty in the immediate vicinity. From the ambience to the food, showers and location to the room 5, thank you very much ??

D	Dave Hegarty on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food, superbly prepared, with an imaginative twist on the 'normal' menu. Completely puzzled why anyone would put themselves through the storm of people milling about the Füssener Hütte with this gem a hop, skip and jump away.

The view from the hut to the mountains across was really nice. They have a nice wide terrace so there was plenty of room to spread out and relax. I enjoyed an nice Germknoedel upon my arrival which was very good. They offered a nice selection of food which was nice. The evening dinner was served promptly and was very tasty and nice sized portions. I overnighted in their "matratzenlager" which was very clean and each bed had two blankets and one pillow, very comfortable beds, I slept 10 hours that night. I could have slept longer, but the hike did continue further.
