★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ich hätte heute einen Kontrolltermin gehabt. Am Telefon wurde mir mitgeteilt ich bekomme einen Rückruf. Leider wartete ich 4 Stunden vergeblich. Bei nach frage wurde mir von einen Hr. Pr.... mitgeteilt das ich morgen noch mal anrufen soll.
 I would have had a check-up appointment today. On the phone I was told I would be called back. Unfortunately I waited 4 hours in vain. When I asked a Mr. Pr.... informed that I should call again tomorrow.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nach 10wöchiger Wartezeit und dreimaligen Nachfragen wegen Kostenerstattung meiner Physiotherapie , schnauzt mich die Dame am Telefon an, ich wäre nicht die einzige Patientin und die Bearbeitungszeit läge bei 10 Wochen (erst waren es 6, dann 9 Wochen). Und überhaupt würde die Zahlungsbestätigung fehlen. Auf die Frage warum mir das niemand gesagt hat ( ich bin mir aber sicher daß ich sie dazugelegt habe), war die Antwort die Kollegin hätte die Nachricht heute an mich verschickt. Im Ernst??!!. Die glauben echt, ich nehme ihnen den Blödsinn ab.!!! Glücklicherweise bin ich ein eher friedlicher Mensch. Ich schnauze meine Kundschaft auch nicht an, das ist absolut keine Art, und dann auch noch für blöd verkauft werden!!!
After waiting 10 weeks and asking three times about reimbursement for my physiotherapy, the lady on the phone snaps at me that I am not the only patient and that the processing time is 10 weeks (first it was 6, then 9 weeks). And anyway, the payment confirmation would be missing. When I asked why no one told me (but I'm sure I included it), the answer was that my colleague had sent the message to me today. In earnest??!!. They really think I'll take the nonsense off them.!!! Luckily I'm a rather peaceful person. I don't snap at my customers either, that's absolutely no way, and then also be taken for stupid!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wollte heute anrufen, weil ich bis dato noch kein Krankengeld erhalten habe.
Ich war eine Stunde lange in der Warteschleife und wurde 7 Mal weiterverbunden - danach wurde ich aus der Leitung geworfen. Und dafür war ich eine Stunde an der Leitung.
Ich hatte mehrmals gesagt, dass ich wohnhaft in Klagenfurt bin, wurde dann irgendwie nach Villach verbunden. Nach einer langen Zeit bin ich dann endlich mal erneut durch gekommen und ich wurde weitere zwei Mal nach Klagenfurt verbunden???
Nicht berechtigte ewige Wartezeiten! Unglaublich...
Wanted to call today because I haven't received sick pay yet.
I was on hold for an hour and was reconnected 7 times - after which I got kicked off the line. And for that I was on the line for an hour.
I had said several times that I lived in Klagenfurt, but somehow I was connected to Villach. After a long time I finally got through again and I was connected to Klagenfurt twice more???
Unjustified eternal waiting times! Unbelievable...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wollte einen Termin vereinbaren und habe in der vorgegebenen Zeit angerufen. Eine unfreundliche Dame hat abgehoben und gesagt: „ Wir haben gerade ein Seminar, rufen Sie Montag noch mal an.“
Liebe ÖGK, wenn ihr schon Zeiten zur Terminvergabe vorgebt, wäre es nett wenn man da auch einen Termin vereinbaren könnte.
Wanted to make an appointment and called within the allotted time. A rude lady picked up the phone and said, "We have a seminar, call back on Monday."
Dear ÖGK, if you already specify times for appointments, it would be nice if you could also make an appointment there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had to ask if I was insured in Austria as an EU member. I was sure that the answer was "no", but going here didn't help at all. I was sent to one office, who sent me to another, and then to another, and then to the first one, which sent me to a fourth one, who wanted to sent me to the first one.
I ended up going with the feeling that I was being the victim of a prank.
I expected that the public health workers would tell me more than what expat forums told.

Everything was super-professionally handled.
Called them. Got an appointment. During the appointment itself, the guy was super helpful and everything explained patiently. And set it up for me. It was a breeze.
Also, when they saw I was struggling in German, they even switched to English to help me.
Thank you guys!
