Nice, clean, historical lavatory in the middle of the center.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Es sieht erstmal hübsch historisch aus, ist aber nicht so besonders sauber und von Privatsphäre kann man nur träumen. Außerdem: ich muss 50 Cent für`s Einschließen bezahlen und mein Mann darf kostenlos ans Pissoir? Finde ich nicht in Ordnung. Abschließen kann ich prinzipiell auch selber (ja, ist bei dieser Toilette nicht möglich) und die Aufenthaltsdauer war auch gleich lang aber ich muss dafür Geld hinlegen...
It looks pretty historic at first, but it's not that clean and you can only dream of privacy. Also: I have to pay 50 cents to lock it and my husband can go to the urinal free of charge? I don't think that's okay. In principle, I can also lock it myself (yes, this is not possible with this toilet) and the duration of the stay was the same, but I have to put money down for it ...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The art nouveau toilets are worth a visit. Constructed by Wilhelm Beetz towards the end of the 19th century, these toilets are Vienna's oldest underground public convenience.
By the way: in Vienna, there are some toilets worth seeing, e.g.
● the futuristic toilets at Cafe Korb by architect Manfred Wolff-Plottegg
● the toilets at Cafe Diglas (Wollzeile) with see-through glass (until the door is looked)
● the colourful toilets at the Hundertwasserhaus
● the toilets at the club Flex with a lot of sweets
● the stylish toilets at Do & Co Bar Onyx
...and there are more great toilets ("Häusln") in Vienna
