★ ★ ★ ★ ★ At the end of Graben Street you will find the Julius Meinl food emporium, which is not a conventional attraction but an interesting place to visit if you are into high-quality, international food brands.
Food and drinks are displayed and presented nicely. There is a smaller vegetable and meat section that perhaps expected, while cheese, oil, vinegar and wine sections seemed reasonable. They seemed to be very well stocked on the chocolates and other sweets and there was much Easter-inspired merchandise on display during our visit.
A wine / coffee bar and sandwich shop on the ground floor as well as a sushi bar on the second floor, provides immediately dining services at Meinl am Graben as well.
Overall, Meinl am Graben, like most food emporiums, is really a place more suitable for local Viennese foodies instead of tourists. However, for those who like such places, this is a good one to visit and its well located just at the west end of Graben Street.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Obviously a very fancy place to do your grocery shopping in the middle of the 1st district. Hands down the best quality meat and fish in town. Very experienced staff will fulfill every wish you have and advise you if you need any assistance with your cooking plans. I’m come regularly to get my beef, chicken and fish and have formed a special friendship with the staff.
Always enjoy coming here. :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really used to like this place.. a wide variety of products, mostly a bit overpriced, but also unusual products which kind of justifies the price. However, since the new make-over, unfortunately sad to say that all the kind, nice, oldish wooden flair is gone. Now mostly just concrete and cold. Nothing special anymore. My own personal opinion, not a good move from management.
