★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the few ski resorts located high enough to have reliable snow coverage into May. April 2021 is no exception. They ceased full operation on the 11th but will operate two lifts through May 2 while most resorts closed at Easter. My hat's off to Obertauern for continuing operation while most resorts in Austria closed with near record snow accumulations because revenues were down. As of writing, snow continues to pile up at Obertauern ensuring great conditions.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ the snow is mostly better as in lower ski regions, they have a sun and shadow site, you can drive in a circle both ways, from beginner to black ski route, nice people and friendly stuff, many good skiers around and most people come again for skiing. The village itself is not really nice and your alternatives besides skiijng or Wintersport are limited, if that's okay for you - book a spot and enjoy

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic skistation for skiers looking for blue and red slopes . Better fitting to skiers due to the long flat paths between some ski- lifts. Still couple of good black ones and routes which are great with fresh powder. Enjoyable
