★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Habe noch eine Kindheitserinnerung an dieses Fest: Narzissengeschmückte Zillen mit bäuerlichen oder religiösen Motiven. Heute: Touristischer Albtraum, Plastikboote, scheußliche Figuren. Schade.
I still have a childhood memory of this festival: Daffodil-decorated barges with rural or religious motifs. Today: Tourist nightmare, plastic boats, hideous figures. Too bad.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die Figuren waren wirklich toll. Ansonsten war nicht viel los. Viel zu essen. Hauptsächlich Würstel, Leberkäse,. . nur fette Sachen. Die Kapelle hat, glaube ich, nur einmal, zweimal gespielt. Nicht viel los.
The characters were really great. Otherwise, not much was going on. Have a lot to eat. Mainly sausages, liver cheeses ,. , only fat things. The chapel has, I think, only once, played twice. Not much going on.
