K	Knuffel Nuffel on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die Kinder waren super glücklich über diese 20 minutige Fahrt mit der Lok von Mariazell bis zum Erlaufsee. Der Service war ebenfalls super freundlich. The children were super happy about this 20 minutes drive with the locomotive from Mariazell to the Erlaufsee. The service was also super friendly.

Sensibel bezüglich Rauch und Ruß darf man dabei allerdings nicht sein. Auch für mich war es ein aufregendes Erlebnis The children were very surprised and happy about the (short) tram ride to the Erlaufsee. Especially because we could take the steam tramway. However, you shouldn't be sensitive to smoke and soot. It was an exciting experience for me too

Obnovené a novovybudované boli aj traťové systémy, pričom historické prvky tejto železničky boli použité v miestnom muzeu, prostredníctvom ktorých sa možete zoznámiť s históriou rakúskych železníc ako aj lokálnych železničných spoločností. Between 1976 and 2015, as part of the voluntary activities of activists from Muzemstramway, the railway line between the town of Mariacell and Lake Erlasee was renewed. The track systems have also been restored and rebuilt, and the historical elements of this railway have been used in the local museum, through which you can learn about the history of the Austrian railways as well as the local railway companies.

Goes about halfway to the town at the moment but extension is planned. Runs summer weekends and holidays and connects with the trains. Check website for more details.

Many historically preserved tramways (more than 100 years old), 3 steam locomotives and many carriages. Operating from the city of Mariazell to the Erlaufsee lake, where an old ship is in the operation. Many other outdoor activities can be found there. Beautiful and nostalgic kind of transportation.
