Went today to Müller to some Christmas shopping and while I was bagging and paying my order I could see the employee by the door eying me. As a young black woman in Vienna I can say this is unfortunately very common so I just averted eyes and moved on.
After I made the payment and passed thru the door, the alarms went off and the employee by the door snatched my bag (that’s right he didn’t say anything, just tore my bag away from my hands). He then proceeded to go thru my belongings and other groceries I’d purchased elsewhere.
The cashier that ringed me came in and took one of perfumes I bought and deactivated the tag, they tested again and I was free to go. No apologies for her mistake, no thanking me for the patience or for the abrupt way I was stopped.
I unfortunately didn’t catch any names since I was caught extremely off guard but it happened around 17:40 at the Lugner City branch.
I know it seems silly to come to say I’m never going back, specially since it’s a big company and my weekly small purchases are nothing for them, but there you have it. Do not recommend.
