Great hike from Johnsbach in less than 2 hours to the picturesque Mödlinger Hütte. Can also be done with children and dogs. Cozy cabin, friendly people. Fantastic views.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super nette Wanderung herauf zur Mödlinger Hütte. Von oben viele weitere Wandermöglichkeiten. Super toller Ausblick. Auch Mountainbiker haben es über die Forststraße herauf geschafft. Sehr nette Hüttenwirtin und Hüttenwirt. Tolle Terrasse mit schönem Ausblick. Gemütliche Tische und Bänke. Essen und Getränke voll in Ordnung und lecker. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch bzw. einen Aufstieg wert.
Super nice hike up to the Mödlinger Hütte. Many more hiking opportunities from above. Super great view. Mountain bikers have also made it up the forest road. Very nice hut landlady and hut host. Great terrace with a beautiful view. Comfortable tables and benches. Food and drinks okay and tasty. Definitely worth a visit or a climb.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mödlinger Hütte: da, wo man die sensationelle Landschaft hat. Da muss man einmal gewesen sein.´! Man kann von Gaishorn weit hinauf mit dem Auto fahren oder von unten gehen. Ideal, wenn es trocken ist, ist der Johnsbacher Höhenweg. Phantastischer Ausblick zum Hochtor gegenüber, Tamischbachturm dahinter und ins Johnsbacher Tal.
Mödlinger Hütte: there, where you have the sensational landscape. You have to have been there once.´! You can drive up from Gaishorn by car or walk from below. The Johnsbacher Höhenweg is ideal when it's dry. Fantastic view of the Hochtor opposite, the Tamischbach tower behind it and the Johnsbach valley.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had an absolutely fantastic time at the Mödlinger Hütte during a hike through the Gesäuse. Wonderful warm and friendly hosts, good food (try the Schoko-Banane cake!) and drink, and surprisingly nice accommodation for a Hütte.
