Total lack of decent customer treatment! I have never met such a rude and impolite receptionist/manager before. I wanted to book a family room directly at the hotel via Booking, however the receptionist/manager didn't agree with this proposal and came with a total LIE about they had been struck by lighting so she couldn't implement the booking in the system. The possible reason for denail could be the fact that she was be able to rent the room for a higher price (due to my Genius state on Booking). Afterwards she had put down the offer at Booking so now suddenly she has no problems with the system due to the 'lighting incident' anymore ?! Hopefully management will reconsider her position at the hotel as she lies straight in the face of her potential customers! Simple unacceptable.

Very special. Beautifully restored. Excellent service and food. Location is magical looking down on Admont and across to the snow clad Alps. Thank you for making my trip to Austria a memorable experience.

Very scenic hotel in a great location overlooking the town of Admont. My son and I were visitors in mid May, and oddly enough, the only guests in the entire building! A unique/odd experience to be certain but we enjoyed ourselves. The chef (I cannot recall his name-very nice fellow) made us dinner promptly at 7pm, and then showed us where we could smoke or access an entire cooler of beer if we felt the urge! Breakfast was okay, not spectacular. All in all a fine experience, especially combined with the beauty of the area and the library in Admont. Highly recommended.

Even though our room didn't have the best view, it was easily accessible from the terrace, where you can enjoy a pint, a glass of wine or a cup of coffee. Room was clean and roomy. Breakfast and dinner buffet was delicious!

On the plus side the main building is really nice castle renovated to a hotel. Adults have a standard breakfast and quite good and tasty donner. On the negative side carefully book it as there is a quiet basics side building too and kids have not so much food options.

Would be better if they had vegan options. Or maybe even steamed vegetables in the morning or oat milk. Sad. I had to bring my own stuff from the store.
