The fountain consists of a niche with terracotta jewelry, a mu- white marble karst marble basin from the Julian Alps with a gargoyle designed as a head mask and a glass mosaic of the goddess Minerva with staff, owl and a ball, which serves as a location for a much smaller representation of the goddess of victory Nike. The stone parts of the fountain are by the sculptor Josef Pokorny; The mosaic was created in the glass factory of Antonio Salviati in Murano to designs by Ferdinand Laufberger and Heinrich von Ferstel. In the broken round-arched gable of the fountain is the coat of arms of the city of Vienna, in the pointed gable of the connecting wall the Austro-Hungarian coat of arms.

Consigliatissima.
Beautiful fountain dedicated to the Goddess Minerva and located in the center of Vienna, in an area slightly off normal tourist routes. It works for real connoisseurs who come out from the usual and look for less noble beauties, but still of great importance. In this representation, the use of gold is truly amazing. Highly recommended.

Minerva is the Roman name of the goddess called by the Greeks Pallas Athena and she being the goddess of wisdom andalso the goddess of arts and crafts. During the cold season of the year the fountain is empty of water. It's worth visiting.
