The entrance to the metro is done through the ruins discovered at the station. I do not think any other station in the world has an equal entry

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Piccola porzione di una di quelle che dovevano essere le prime porte nelle mura che davano accesso a Vienna all'incirca nell'anno 1200. L'ho trovata per caso e devo dire che a parte il fascino delle vecchie murature di mattoni, non ha molto altro, come tutto in questa città è molto ben conservato, ma comunque poco valorizzato.
Small portion of one of those that had to be the first doors in the walls that gave access to Vienna in the year 1200. I found it by chance and I must say that apart from the charm of the old brick walls, it doesn't have much others, like everything in this city is very well preserved, but still undervalued.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bei den Ausgrabungsarbeiten für den Bau der U-Bahnlinie U3 wurden damals Teile der alten Wiener Stadtmauer im Bereich vom Stubentor freigelegt. Diese freigelegten Teile wurden gesichert und können daher noch heute besichtigt werden. Ein interessanter Teil Wiener Stadtgeschichte, sollte man sich einmal ansehen. Ist ohnehin frei zugänglich ;-)
During the excavation work for the construction of the U3 subway line, parts of the old Viennese city wall in the area of the Stubentor were uncovered. These exposed parts have been secured and can therefore still be viewed today. An interesting part of Vienna's city history should be seen. Is freely accessible anyway ;-)

Es mit einem Bahn Eingang zu verbinden ist eine geniale Lösung.
Da ich so gut wie nie mit Öffis fahre war es neu für mich.
A somewhat inconspicuous place, and yet so historically charged.
Connecting it to a train entrance is an ingenious solution.
Since I hardly ever use public transport, it was new for me.
