Nice place to spend a rainy afternoon. I found the 14 euro entrance fee much higher than it's value. There are no audio devices, and the few exhibits with QR codes to sound bites to hear with a smart phone were few and far between. The modern design exhibition in the basement was most worthy of my attention.

This is a beautiful and historic building to visit with a shop, restaurant-bar, library, museum and etc.

We really enjoyed visiting the MAK museum. Tuesdays between 18h and 21h there is a special price (7€/person). We were able to see the whole museum in those 3 hours. We would recomend the museum to show more information about the art pieces (origin, style, dates, history about the piece or the author), so you can understand better and learn from the exibition, and better enjoy the pieces.

Admission is free - just tell them at the ticket desk that you lost a bet. No seriously - that is the only way i’d go here again. The reason it got 2 stars instead of 1 is because the building is gorgeous.

A great place where you can enter for free. You will need valid COVID-19 vaccination certificate or certificate of recovery. You can also get souvenirs here and the batch ticket for all other museums in Vienna, if you haven't already bought one.

This museum has a wonderful mixture of applied Arts from different periods, and origins, but naturally, has an emphasis on Vienna. Remarkable collection of Hoffman's work! Beautiful furniture, decorative objects, and I saw at least one dress designed by him in 1901. The design lab has multiple exhibits, again with everyday objects (I found out that our IKEA spoon is a Museum piece, thank you very much!), a particular exhibit on Helmut Lang, and all kind of interning little tidbits. On the first floor, you can find the Wiener Werkstatt section, and you can buy the same stuff that Saturday at the Antiques market. It will cost you, though. But looking at that amazing design every day is priceless!
