В честь его великих дел, в том числе на религиозном поприще (его высочество был еще и епископом), на маленькой площади Инсбрука между дворцом, театром и часовней с серебряным алтарем, рядом с огромным старым деревом, еще при жизни принца был установлен первый в Альпах памятник, где всадник сидит на вставшем на дыбы коне, причем вся эта композиция находится в центре большого круглого фонтана. Раньше фонтан украшали еще и фигуры морских богов, но из-за их излишней обнаженности в XVIII веке статуи целомудренно решили спрятать в музеи - Императорского дворца Хофбург и замка Амбрас. Когда времена ненужной стыдливости прошли, морские боги вновь появились в фонтане, правда, теперь уже в копии, а оригиналы перевезли в местный музей Фердинандеум.
