The landlady is the most rude, inhospitable, unhelpful person in the world (she must have seen Fawlty Towers a million times as a training ;-) ).
The soles of my shoes came off after arrival (which was my own fault btw)so I asked for advice. She gave me a hard look and in a dialect that sounded like German (btw. my German is excellent) she cursed me for my bad luck. After some arguing a roll of duct tape was thrown in my face which she wanted back right away and I couldn't use too much.
The idea was to stay there for a night but we went back to the valley to buy new shoes...
I will never plan to go there again !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wanderfull hut. Sleeping premices are delightfull. Has a shower. Views from the hut are epic. Food is not the best, but can be eaten. Staff is frendly and helpfull. Interior is new and renovated.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unnecessary expensive. Breakfast is a joke. I understand it is a remote place but that doesn't mean you can charge whatever you want. Keep in mind it is reachable in 1 hour by car! Cabin Is nice, well maintained.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Achievable from 3 directions: Pertisau, Schwaz and Eng (Hinterris). Amazing views and panorama. Super friendly service - all explanations to make your stay comfortable and get familiar with the "Berghütte" experience. Tasty and reach food. Especially the ice cream with himbeer syrup is a wonder.
If rooms occupied there is place in "Lager" common sleeping room for 50 guests. You get numbered place, covered matress, warm covers, home shoes. Quiet in the night despite full booking, friendly and polite guests. Both young people and adult climbers or travellers. Cosy and safe atmosphere.
The experience what definitely make sense.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place to stay. Great views all around. Go up the hill to see the sunset. One of the best mattress dormitories I have seen so far - beds are separated with wooden walls since Corona - this gives you a lot of privacy. And there is a shower with warm water.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Big hut, all the facilities are there. Perfectly located in a wonderful scenery. Helpful staff.
However, the food got served almost cold. Also, putting about 18 people in a non-ventilated sleeping room felt not really covid-safe.
I liked the other, more small scale, huts we've visited on our hike.
