J	Joerg Schuessler on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wir sind mit dem E-MTB bis zur Kastenalm gefahren. Von dort sind wir über den Forstweg weiter zur Hallerangeralm gewandert. Wir sind davor gewarnt worden mit dem E-MTB den steilen und schottrigen Weg zu befahren. Im Nachhinein wäre es durchaus machbar gewesen. Durch den Wald steigt der Forstweg gleichmäßig steil an. Oben auf der Alm wird es etwas flacher. Sehr schöner Weg mit tollen Aussichten, Wasserfällen und Almen. Auf der Hallerangeralm hat man eine beeindruckende Rundumsicht und das Gefühl, man steht unmittelbar vor den gewaltigen Felswänden. We rode the eMTB to the Kastenalm. From there we hiked along the forest path to the Hallerangeralm. We have been warned against using the E-MTB on the steep and gravel path. In retrospect, it would have been perfectly feasible. The forest path climbs steadily steeply through the forest. It gets a little flatter at the top of the Alm. Very nice path with great views, waterfalls and alpine pastures. On the Hallerangeralm you have an impressive all-round view and the feeling that you are standing in front of the mighty rock faces.
V	Vidar S. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Herrvorragende Übernachtung in den Bergen. Ich habe im Lager geschlafen. Es ist recht geräumig, Decken und Kissen sind vorhanden, es gibt Ablage und Aufhängemöglichkeiten. Die Waschräume sind neu renoviert, es gibt in Duschen, die gegen Münzen (beim Wirt erhältlich) genutzt werden könnne. Der Gastraum und die Schlafräume sind in separaten Gebäuden, dadurch ist auch kein Lärm aus den Gasträumen ein Prolbem (wobei es eh nie zu laut war) Das Essen (ich hatte Halbpension) war jeden Tag super, es gab jeden Tag eine Suppe, Hauptgericht und Nachspeise. Die Wirtsläute sind sehr freundlich, man kann auch durchaus nach Hinweisen für die Gegend Fragen. Die Alm züchtet ihre eigenenen Schweine und Rinder. Definitiv ein Besuch Wert! Excellent overnight stay in the mountains. I slept in the camp. It is quite spacious, blankets and pillows are provided, and there is space for storage and hanging. The washrooms are newly renovated, there are showers that can be used for coins (available from the landlord). The guest room and the bedrooms are in separate buildings, so no noise from the guest rooms is a problem (although it was never too loud anyway) The food (I had half board) was great every day, there was a soup, main course and dessert every day. The innkeepers are very friendly, you can also ask for advice on the area. The Alm raises its own pigs and cattle. Definitely worth a visit!
W	Walter Boess on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wer nach einer langen Tour etwas besonderes zum Essen erwartet wird enttäuscht. Anders als der Anschein erweckt wurde von Rindfleisch oder Wild keine Spur. Der Wirt hat Probleme Humor von Frechheit zu unterscheiden so dass der Eindruck entstehen könnte er hätte Manieren wie Nasen-Sekret. Anyone who expects something special to eat after a long tour will be disappointed. Contrary to what it appeared to be, there was no trace of beef or game. The host has problems distinguishing humor from cheek so that the impression could arise that he had manners like nasal secretion.

Hier bleiben keine Wünsche offen. The way an alpine pasture should be, super nice hosts, delicious food and cold beer, plus a fantastic location and spectacular view, with bike parking lot and sun terrace. Here are no wishes left.

War von München nach Venedig unterwegs und leider nur eine Nacht, komme aber gerne wieder! Top hut, had one of the most beautiful evenings there, with live music and singing ... just great the team! Was en route from Munich to Venice and unfortunately only for one night, but would be happy to come back!
A	Alexander Salzweger on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Schöne Alm mit gutem Essen und bequemen Betten. Der Humor des Wirtes wurde hier mal kritisiert. Er ist halt relativ rustikal, aber für mich absolut freundlich. Sehr positiv tatsächlich: die Duschen und Toiletten sind sehr neu, hell und funktionieren top. Zum Aufstieg ab Scharnitz: nicht grundlos wird von Bike-Touren abgeraten, wenn man nicht absolut sicher auf seinem Fahrrad ist. Dann kann gerade die Abfahrt echt gefährlich werden. Sprich: steinig und über 1,5 km eine Steigung von knapp 20%. Wenn ihr also mit dem Rad unterwegs seid: besser an der Kastenalm abstellen und hoch laufen. Das ist zwar auch anstrengend, aber deutlich sicherer. Beautiful alpine pasture with good food and comfortable beds. The host's humor was once criticized here. It's relatively rustic, but absolutely friendly to me. Very positive indeed: the showers and toilets are very new, bright and work perfectly. As for the ascent from Scharnitz: It is not without reason that bike tours are not recommended if you are not absolutely safe on your bike. Then the descent can be really dangerous. In other words: stony and a gradient of almost 20% over 1.5 km. So if you're out and about by bike: it's better to park at the Kastenalm and walk up. That is also exhausting, but much safer.

M	Mark Kloosterboer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I liked the HallerangerAlm the most from the cabins we visited during our hike from cabin to cabin. Good service and good (choice of) food. The cabin felt smaller giving a nicer ambiance than some of the other huts we visited. Facilities in the building we slept in were good.
