β β β β β I usually like exhibitions in Kunsthalle, but the last one was so disappointing that I can do anything else than give 1 star. Time is Thirsty is the most useless exhibition I've ever seen. If you can, avoid this place and save your money, 8 euro for an empty room.

β β β β β Literally the worst contemporary art I have ever seen in Vienna.
The museum itself is also super misleading.
they advertise this massive building and give you pamflets with amazing art in them, but the museum itself is 1/10 of the building and it is in 2, locations... we had to take the metro to see one 5x30 meter room.... go next door, both the leopold and mumok are a solid 5 stars,Please go there!

β β β β β Kunsthalle Vienna
The Kunsthalle Wien presents contemporary art at the highest level in the MuseumsQuartier and on Karlsplatz. For holidaymakers interested in art, a visit to the Kunsthalle Wien is a must.
The Kunsthalle Wien in the MuseumsQuartier, near the Hofburg, focuses on presentations of international contemporary and modern art. It is a place for the whole diversity of international contemporary art and related contemporary discourses. For this purpose, it develops innovative formats of exhibiting and communicating. The mediation programme offers access to what is presented on different levels, enables an interweaving of artistic practice and its theoretical reflection and promotes an intensive examination of current questions of everyday life.

β β β β β Extremely troubling experience with your staff today.
I asked for some drinks to go. After a couple of minutes they said they cannot give me the drinks to go and asked for deposit money. I explained I asked for 2 bottles of water and 3 coffees and they asked for 5 euro deposit without explaining they would also give the water in plastic cups as they did not actually have the possibility to offer drinks to go.
2 male waiters (a man with long hair, tall and a shorter man with curly short hair) became physically agressive towards me and xenophobic.
I was amazed that your museum while trying to be inclusive and friendly allows for their caffe staff to be xenophobic and physically aggressive towards tourists.
I will in consequence file a complaint with your local consumer protection service.
The coffee shop said that they are represented by the museum and they are not independent from you. Shame on you kunsthallewien!

β β β β β Nice place to see international contemporary art and young austrian artists. Don't expect a huge museum. The ticket is cheap if you're a Student.

β β β β β Don't spend your time or money and avoid it for your sake
One if not the worst museum ever was. small, boring, and feels like they just took waste from some protest and use it as "art". took this photo as a joke, (not really care about anti male propaganda, find it really sarcastic) but it symbolize all the art in this museum.
