The room was large and comfort. However, the reception did not speak English well and we had a big problem at check in.

Accommodations in Hallstat was too expensive so I chose this place in Obertraun and I’m regretting it so much. Public transportations in this area is inconvenient, so you have to walk to Hallstat. But it is too far to get there on foot. The worst thing about this House is that check-in is available only at 4:30 to 6 pm. Early travelers just have to wait outside since the host is absent if you visit there earlier. I kindly asked if I could just put the luggages inside before check-in and the host said yes. But on the day I arrived, the host was nowhere and didn’t receive any mails and phone calls. I just had to carry all my luggages when visiting salt mine and so. 16 euro each for breakfast is always included in the total price. I asked for cancelation of breakfast due to early schedules next day, but it was not possible. It was a rule of this House, so I admitted it. I somehow managed to have breakfast in very short minutes in the morning but all I found in the restaurant was a total fxxx. There was a toast machine, a coffee machine and tomato cheese bacon cereal and so on. That was it for 16 euro per person. I still cannot believe that I payed for that amount for such a trash. Orange juice almost made me vomit and I felt if I was chewing a car tire when I grabbed a bite of toast. By the way, jam was delicious maybe because they didn’t make it. I don’t know for sure, just a guess. All of a sudden during breakfast the host abruptly went into the kitchen and made noise with two cooks. I wish I could speak German so that I could understand what they were quarreling about. I should have studied German in my home country. The breakfast is not the only problem. It is clearly stated that Wi-Fi is available in all rooms but the fact is there is only one Wi-Fi transmitter in the reception and no other ones in each room. Totally no Wi-Fi connection in each room. I could not use it for even one second. No hair dryers, no refridgerator, no coffee machine in the room. The host suddenly entered my room with her keys and just said sorry~ and then went out. I could not bear her rude manner. One of the guests used the washing machine(not free) and said that the machine just got the coins and almost did not do any work with his laundry. This is my 20th night in Europe and THIS IS THE WORST BY FAR. I can’t believe that I paid 170 euros for this kind of shxt. If I could travel back in time, I would go back to 4 months before when I made the reservation to this place and punch me in the face hundreds of times with all my might. I recommend this place to those who are so rich that they have nowhere to spend his/her money. Those people would be satisfied for such a fuxking experience that they never have gone through before. I’m just joking. I don’t recommend this place to them either. 별 0개가 없어서 어쩔 수 없이 별1개 줌. 할슈타트 부근 숙소가 비싸서 그나마 싼 곳으로 왔는데 돈 조금 더 얹어서 비싼 곳으로 가시길. 이 지역이 버스도 일찍 끊겨서 교통이 불편한데 걸어서 할슈타트 가기에는 아주 멂. 제일 가관인 것은 체크인이 4시반에서 6시 사이에만 가능한데 그 이외 시간에는 주인샊이가 아예 없음. 분명 사전에 짐만 맡아줄 수 있냐고 물어봤을 때 알겠다고 해놓고 감감무소식. 메일도 안 보고 전화도 안 받음. 결국 관광하는데 짐 다 들고 다님. 방값에 16유로짜리 조식도 무조건 포함임. 시간 상 조식 못 먹는다고 부분취소해달라했더니 불가하다함. 숙소 정책이라고 하니 어쩔 수 없다고 생각함. 막상 최대한 서둘러 조식 먹으러 왔더니 개판임. 딱봐도 동양인인거 티날텐데 독일어로만 얘기함. 죽어도 독일어로만 함. 10샊이년. 토스트기랑 커피머신, 토마토와 치즈 베이컨 정도 가져다놓음. 2만원 넘는 가격이라고는 ㄴ상상도 못한 정체ㄱ임. 오렌지 주스는 진짜 입에 대기도 전에 냄새 때문에 구역질 나고 토스트는 타이어 씹는 기분임. 딸기잼은 맛있음. 아마 얘네가 안 만들었나봄. 조식 먹고 있는데 주인샊이 주방에 들어가서 조리사 2명이랑 싸움. 영어로 싸워줬으면 좋았을텐데 독일어는 학부생 시절 초급독일어1 들은게 다라서 전혀 못 알아들음. 조식만 문제가 아님. 전 객실 와이파이 된다고 해놓고 알고 보면 리셉션에 공유기 하나 놓아놓고 그걸 전 객실에서 쓰는건데 아예 안 잡힌다고 보면 됨. 방에는 드라이기 없고 에어컨 없고 냉장고 없고 커피포트 없음. (컵라면 불가) 꼴에 콘센트는 침대마다 있음. 침대에서 짐 정리하고 있는데 주인샊이 갑자기 열쇠로 문 따고 들어옴. 쏘리~ 하고 나감. 이해할 수가 없는 대목임. 같이 묵은 한국인분들은 유료 세탁기 이용하셨는데 돈만 먹고 세탁은 거의 안 됐다고 하심. 동유럽을 20박 정도 째 여행하고 있는데 이런 숙소는 처음임. 이걸 20만원 넘는 돈 주고 숙박했다니 이걸 고른 4개월 전의 나를 찾아가서 죽기 직전까지 패주고 싶음. 20만원 넘는 돈으로 기분 잡쳐보는 신기한 경험을 하고 싶은 인생이 아주 무료한 갑부들에게나 추천할만한 숙소임. 농담이고 그런 갑부들에게조차 추천하지 않음. 정 다른 숙소가 비싸면 한 두 끼 굶고 비싼 숙소에 묵는 것을 추천함.

I cant even check in this place. There's no one in the hotel and im wasting my time here. It is worst place ever in my life

Although it was a hostel me and my friends from the Maldives stayed here for one night as we didnt get a hotel in Hallstatt. The place although very basic was very clean and comfortable. The lady at the reception was extremely friendly. We had to check-in within a given time period. But there were no complications although we checked-into the hotel much later. The receptionist waited for us and even drove us to a restaurant for dinner as there were not many eating places nearby. I wish I could remember her name. Thank you very much for the lovely time at your hostel.

It is a great budget option for a backpacker?who wanna stay near Hallstatt(it might take some time to walk from Hallstatt to the hostel, but it is also a good way to have a glimpse of the local life, and traveling is about slowing down, isn’t it?) The location is actually quite good for people want to go to Five Fingers or Ice Cave Like the pleasing and relaxing view from my room ? and the enough space to sort out my stuff??? Also very helpful and friendly staff? and delightful breakfast ?

Super clean rooms, but very strict check in times. Even if you are a few minutes late after 6pm, it's locked up. Luckily someone popped out and opened the door for me. Don't expect anything special for breakfast. You get what you pay for, but beats paying regular prices for a hotel in this expensive but beautiful area.

Clean and tidy place but 5 stars is definitely for staff. . Receptionists were really helpful professional and friendly (so big different after not nice welcome in camping in Hallstatt ) some people should learn from them how to speak with clients. Definitely will back to them again with family
