★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful Hotel, situated on a mountain pass with a beautiful lake besides it. Crystal clear water and if you are brave enough you can take a swim, it might be pretty cold.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed in the actual castle which was pretty amazing. They really tried to make sure everything was well set up and the room itself was spectacular - great views and authentically historic (seeming at least) inside. It did feel like going back in time but still with modern conveniences.
The food (supper and breakfast) and service at the restaurant was also very good and the staff very accomodating, although the hours were a bit short - the restaurant closed at 9pm and breakfast in the morning was only until 9am.
The only other thing I'd mention is that there's a decent climb up uneven stairs to the castle so someone who wasn't mobile would have trouble unless you drove them up and down.
Altogether a very nice experience and I'd love to stay again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We didnt use the hotel, just stopped because of the amazing view and resort. The place is like heaven and a must visit, if in that area. Resort offered great services, hiking options and beautiful pictures. Underwater diving, boats and so much more.

A lot of flies in the building. Couldn't visit the sauna because the owner wanted to use it himself. Airco does not fit in the room.
Hike possibilities around the place are great!
Personal could be more aware and cooperating with each other. There are clearly misunderstandings between the camping and hotel personal

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is half an hour from the neuschwanstein castle, perfect if you want to stay in a real castle. Food and beverage is not always nearby, the raststation is closed for certain days like Tuesday, you will only get dinner at the hotel, at least during this corona time. The lake nearby is amazing. Hotel guests can use it for free. The waitresses are busy and sometimes annoyed with you, service quality thus not that great. But the breakfast is amazing tho.
