★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice upscale hotel restaurant in the middle of the historical center. The restaurant has a nice terrace with beautiful view over the Danube. Daily menu includes a mix of traditional Austrian, international dishes and seasonal specials.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An upscale restaurant with the patio outdoors having an amazing view over the Danube. Quite pricey concidering those really small portions. However, I cannot complain about the quality of food, maybe with exception of the dessert which was just way too sweet (I had, if I remember correctly, 'Wachauer Torte').

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice outdoor setting with decent apricot desserts. However, I felt that there was much left to be desired with regard to their savoury dishes. The trout was decent but the potatoes on the side was bland and boring. The pork fillets were a little dry, and the sides of fries and vegetables were mediocre for the price. Their sides especially, could have been more exciting. With that being said, it is a decent place to have lunch as there are not many options in Dürnstein.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our stay at the hotel was wonderful. We celebrated our 30th Anniversary here. The restaurant was exceptional. We highly recommend eating here. The restaurant is overlooking the river so it makes for an incredible view! We were impressed by the cuisine---it was delicious! We enjoyed meeting the chef (Patrick) and the service we received from the staff was outstanding. 5 stars for the restaurant and staff! Loved it. Thank you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The area is wonderful for hikes and wine tasting. The hotel has a long and interesting history with very good service and excellent food. We were three adults and stayed in a suite overlooking both Donau and the garden, lovely. The hike up to the ruins are well worth it. Unfortunately we had a negative experience in the hotel restaurant in the garden, where our waitress was quite rude and did not want to honor our confirmed reservations, which put a damper on an otherwise nice experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice hotel. Beautifully situated. Amazing chandeliers and hallways. The rooms have high standard but still old charm. It is very quiet. The food is good but if you are there with a group, you should prepare for long lunch breaks. As a seminar facility it is basic, not more, but with great ambiance. Still, recommended for meetings in smaller groups.
