Walserwirt is really bad. Really. When we booked our room we were not informed about an Austrian village fest that should start the arriving date. Typically an Austrian village fest can be summarized as drinking, loud bad music, and even moore drinking, paired with racism and eventually violence. We asked for changing the rooms, as ours, not cheap do, were on the very side of this fest. The owner refused. Her argument was that would be young, and we could easily stand it. Of course we then left the hotel. Telling that it can't be true, and we will not consume it. Of course she fully charged us. Really an horrible hotel. Please, do not trust the ratings. Or critically read them. There are some that indicate it. Summarized, it is a unfriendly place, and a terrible cheat.

Was looking for a traditional feel and definitely got that, and then some. The rooms were quaint and the bathrooms were nice and spacious. Though the furniture seemed very outdated and stained. The breakfast buffet was small and not much variety for a 4-Star hotel. The pool and sauna were okay, though they were not always open at the posted time they were supposed to. However the walls and curtains did have lots of dead mosquitos and we quickly learned why. Because there was no AC the rooms were very hot, so we opened the windows and quickly realized where all the blood marks on the walls came from. There were dozens of mosquitos in the room within minutes. We could not open the windows after that and spent the remainder of the night hunting mosquitos. You could also hear others doing the same too, definitely laugh worthy at this point minus the lack of sleep. It was definitely a countryside camping experience, though the mosquito problem could be easily fixed with window nets! Lets just say the pictures on their website are using a few filters and make this place better than it actually is, not quite 4-Star value.

4 star hotel, not even close to hotels that are equipped. The restaurant did not sleep for one night and the rooms were full of mosquitoes. If you already live in the village then make sure that the guests are satisfied. The breakfast was ok

After a great 2 days with 2 veteran cars at the Grossglockner it was time to go home. We took some inner roads and ended up at this place by accident as we had some issues with one of the cars. It was a hot day and we were looking for a place to cool off and get something to eat. Found this nice place with a green courtyard and a great atmosphere. When we entered we were afraid this would be out of our range as the entry looked quite luxury but the menu featured some great meat (and non meat) options. They do the butcher part themselves which was clear when we got the dishes served. Some very good austrian classics (try the Tafelspitz) combined with some international options. Professional service. Not cheap but very good value at the end. Outside it was great. Inside a bit outdated in some places and they could use a bit of cleaning up in their private spaces :-). But when you're around, make sure you give it a try! I also always enjoy the Austrian staff dressing up in traditional clothing
