Hotel Madlein

Nice hotel with a very good breakfast. The SPA, especially the use of the sauna outside was not ok. One of the personal who was teaching the' use of the sauna', smashed the door fore my nose and was very unfriendly.

This place is an example of a Modern Slavery Institution. It exploits it employees and treats then in a demeaning and humiliating way. If you support an establishment that makes workers work 7 days a week, 10 hours a day and not even paying them for it, this is the perfect hotel for you. As an employee, I felt how greedy is the management and as a costumer you will notice the over-pricing all around the hotel facilities. Enjoy.

Really good hotel though quite pricey during peak season. We stayed in a design room. Interior is nicely decorated but ceiling was only 1.9m tall so tall people beware! Breakfast was good but it was the same every day. We were there for 5 days and by the end I was really fed up with the selection. Spa facilities were excellent. Concierge were excellent and very helpful. Housekeeping needs to up their game as things weren't cleaned properly, balcony door left unlocked, towels and robes weren't replaced properly.

What a great place, with great views over the mountains and at the very bottom of the ski slopes. The staff was friendly and helpful. The spa area is unbelievable, extremely relaxing. There is a ski shop downstairs to rent or buy ski equipment, it is so convenient to have it all in 1 place. I barely left the hotel for the 4 days I was there. The food at breakfast and dinner is absolutely fantastic! Although on the expensive range, I would thoroughly recommend Madlein for your stay in Ishgl.

perhaps our expectations were too high.. dinner as well as breakfast is full and satisfactory and the outdoor pool is excellent, as described..... yet somehow for me it felt wrong.. the vibe of the hotel tries to be trendy, but instead the club downstairs, the poker rooms and the strip club attracts the sketchy type of crowd... decor is outdated and has an early 2000 feel. the rooms were basic and very small.. staff was friendly but service was chaotic.. overall the hotel is ok, but not more.. there are many better options out there for this price point

Fantastic hotel close to the ski. Super friendly staff (Big regards to Mili, Stephan, Ana and Celeste!). Great food, very nice spa area. Would love to Go again.

GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT. Overpriced hotel with lousy services, if the chaotic activity can even be called a service. The worst were the services in the restaurant, we waited for soup for over an hour, then they brought the wrong one, then instead of the meat they brought pasta, and after the fourth complaint about the staff, the waiter brought the meat well done, even though it was ordered rare. The reaction of the staff was absolutely unacceptable. The waiter claimed it was not his responsibility, and the other waiter even laughed cheekily when complaining about the unordered food. I have never experienced such disrespect for a guest. Subsequently, one of the waiters told us that they were all there only 3 days (a week before Christmas season), because the management refused to pay the workers for the trip back to Ischgl, when they left home when hotels closed for covid in November 2021. Unfortunately, except for the nice spa, all services were unprofessional. The heating control didn't work, thus we requested thin duvets, which they brought, but they also brought a very thin blankets, but no one took away the original thick ones. So we had 6 duvets in a small room for 3 days, all on the bed. We could not move in such a small room with 6 duvets, which no one folded into the closet or did not take away. When leaving the hotel, I had a porter bring my car from underground garage and ask him to leave the car in front of the hotel. I waited for the others for about an hour. When I arrived at the car at the outdoor parking lot, I found that the porter had left the car open and the front window was open as well, so not only was the car frozen, but it also contained all our suitcases, skis and purchases that anyone could have stolen. At breakfast, I do not recommend ordering any eggs of your choice, you will not receive them even after an hour. The wine list is overpriced and the sommelier only offers expensive wines without being able to describe them in English. Sorry, I don't order wine according to the price tag. I'm sorry, but I have nothing to praise and unfortunately, regardless of the number of notifications, the services did not improved. Hotel management did not care, expect making sure we paid 70% before our arrival. We have not receive any discounts or apologies, because guests at this hotel are not valued.
