A beautiful house with walls lined with history. The room is very comfortable and sitting on the roof terrace in the evening or early morning is a pleasure. WIFI was very good and the staff was very attentive. The breakfast was superb with more choice than we knew what to do with. We would come back here any time we're visiting Vienna

The rooms are beautifully set up with every care taken, the service and buffet breakfasts are unique! Rothensteiner Appartements have a long and colourful family history, and this is reflected in the way we feel it is a "home away from home".

G	Gretchen H on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We just spent six nights at the Hotel Rothensteiner in Vienna, December 17 through the 23. We enjoyed it very much. The apartment was clean and roomy enough, with a small kitchenette and private bathroom. It is in an excellent location for art and museum lovers like ourselves. The museum quarter is about a 15 minute walk so we felt that we were close enough to walk even when it was drizzling out. The staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke English which we really appreciated. The cleaning staff was also excellent. They never disturbed us but magically our room was clean and tidy each time we returned in the afternoon. The decor in the hallways and lobby felt like pre WW1, authentic and nostalgic. We would definitely stay again. Thank you so much for a wonderful visit. Vienna is beautiful!

Very convenient location since we were arriving and leaving from the west train station and we were able to walk from the hotel to all of the museums and main attractions. It was a lot of walking though so some may want to look more into public transportation options depending on fitness level/where all you are interested in going. Vienna does seem well equipped with public transportation options. The staff there were very friendly and we loved the traditional feel of the hotel. The only real complaint I had was how thin the walls were. I was experiencing some jet lag on the second night there and could hear pretty much everything going on in the rooms around us which made it even harder to sleep. I am normally a heavy sleeper and did not notice anything on the other nights so it just depends on whether or not you are a light sleep and/or have noisy hotel neighbors. Just something to keep in mind! Also be prepared that since it is an older building, it is not as nice/clean as a newer or recently renovated place would be. For us that was a plus though because it added to the experience.

You can easily walk or take a horse and carriage called fiakerl to see all the historical Places. J	Josef Jennings on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A must for stays of more than 5 days. Friendly staff, clean and spacious apartment. This is apartment living and not a traditional hotel. Everything you need is a 5 minute walk. We loved it and will stay there again. We stayed 8 days.
