★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa dello Spirito Santo, che sorge alle spalle del Landhaus Park poco defilata da Alter Platz, è un edificio religioso le cui prime testimonianze risalgono al XIV secolo.
In seguito la chiesa subì vari cambiamenti d’uso, compreso un utilizzo di magazzino/stalla durante l’occupazione francese (XIX sec.) e fu ricostruita e donate alle Orsoline, le quali la gestiscono ancora oggi.
L’intimo interno, tra tardo gotico e tracce barocche, è a navata unica e volte a botte decorate con alcuni interessanti affreschi, mentre la facciata principale mostra un piccolo portico ed è affiancata dal campanile.
Non è la chiesa più bella della città, ma se avete tempo fateci un salto.
The church of the Holy Spirit, which stands behind the Landhaus Park not far from Alter Platz, is a religious building whose earliest records date back to the 14th century.
Later the church underwent various changes of use, including the use of a warehouse / stable during the French occupation (19th century) and was rebuilt and donated to the Ursulines, who still manage it today.
The intimate interior, between late Gothic and Baroque traces, has a single nave and barrel vaults decorated with some interesting frescoes, while the main façade shows a small portico and is flanked by the bell tower.
It is not the most beautiful church in the city, but if you have time, drop by.
