Im Internet wurden die Öffnungszeiten angegeben (Sonntag 9.00-12.00 Uhr).
Wir freuten uns schon sehr darauf. Kamen um 10.30 Uhr an und standen vor verschlossener Tür. Vor Ort waren die Öffnungszeiten Sonntag von 16.00-19.00 angeschrieben. Wir fragten nebenan in der trafik nach und dort hieß es, dass am Sonntag nicht geöffnet ist. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht darüber.
Es wäre sehr nett, wenn man darüber besser informiert wird. Wir hatten eine Anfahrt von 2 Stunden und dann kanns das doch nicht sein.
Today we wanted to visit the Hermann Maier Museum in Flachau.
The opening times were given on the Internet (Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.).
We were really looking forward to it. Arrived at 10:30 am and stood in front of the locked door. On site, the opening times on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. were stated. We asked next door in the tobacco shop and it said that it is not open on Sunday. We were very disappointed with that.
It would be very nice if you could be better informed about this. We had a journey of 2 hours and then it couldn't be.

Und ohne ihn wäre Flachau nie so groß geworden.
Absolutely worth seeing. He was one of the best, whether you like him or not!
And without him Flachau would never have grown so tall.

Very nicely done exhibition about the skiing legend Hermann Maier. In addition to pictures and videos, you can view almost all of his awards as well as the original ski equipment. Also free :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed in a hotel close to the gallery. So we were happy to visit and pay tribute to Hermann Maier. To be honest, we expected a bit more from the display and were a bit surprised that it is rather small (actually, it is located only in the foyer of the building).
